Martyn Amos is a Professor of Novel Computation in the School of Computing, Mathematics and Digital Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University, and an expert on natural computation and DNA computing. His popular science biography of the field of molecular computing, "Genesis Machines" (Atlantic, 2006) was well-received; The Guardian called it "fascinating", and Nature recommended it to "anyone interested in computation writ large who is not afraid to cross disciplinary boundaries that once seemed impassable."
